About me

My name is Brigida Lorenz. I am a developmental psychologist, coach and RTT hypnotherapist. My domain is emotion regulation and brain health. We now know that early experiences have a strong impact on our health and personal success. The question of whether we are healthy, productive and happy is decided on the basis of both mental and neuroanatomical factors. That is why I help children, adolescents and adults on the emotional and biological level so that they can enjoy their lives even more.

What should I expect during my first psychotherapy or psychological counseling session?

During your first session, your therapist or psychological counselor will likely ask you questions about your current concerns, symptoms, and background information. They will also explain the therapy or psychological counseling process, answer your questions and give you a chance to discuss your goals for therapy or psychological counseling. It's a good idea to arrive a few minutes early in order to have time to fill out any necessary paperwork and get familiar with the therapy space.

How do I pay my therapist?

Payment is made directly through the independent therapist. Please adhere to the payment arrangements with the therapist.

How do I book a session?

Thanks to the request form you can easily contact the "therapists". They will contact you within one working day for an appointment confirmation.

Do I need to prepare for the session?

No. Show up at your therapist's office a little before the scheduled appointment. During the first session all details will be discussed and the therapist will explain the exact procedure.

What is an intro call?

We know that sympathy and trust are the cornerstones of every conversation. That's why we offer you and the therapists the opportunity to get to know each other without obligation and free of charge. You will have a short time to get to know each other on the phone and find out if the therapist is the right match for you. If you don't feel comfortable, you can choose another therapist from our online directory and book another consultation.

Will the session be covered by my health insurance?

Since July 1, 2022, it has been possible for psychological psychotherapy to be covered by basic insurance if the psychotherapist you have chosen has joined the order model and bills according to it. In order for the basic insurance to cover the costs, an order from a general practitioner (i.e. general internal medicine), a psychiatrist, or a doctor with an interdisciplinary focus on psychosomatic and psychosocial medicine (SAPPM) is required. Note that the deductible you choose also applies here. If a psychotherapist has not joined the prescription model, your supplementary insurance may reimburse part of the sessions. However, since July 1, this must be clarified in advance with the insurance company, as a major change is taking place in this regard. What types of mental health conditions can be treated with psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy can be used to treat a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, personality disorders, eating disorders, and addiction. It can also be effective in helping people to deal with difficult life events or to improve their overall emotional well-being.
